The Basement Tuxedo Finishing System is so strong it can support the weight of a big screen television with no additional wall anchors. In the photo (left), we demonstrate the strength by hanging a big screen wall mount on one of the Tuxedo panels. We then placed 300 lbs. on the mount without showing any signs of stress or failure. No other finishing system on the market can match this strength.
In another demonstration we did a side by side comparison with a competitor's product. We placed 600 pounds on each panel. The first image is the competitor's product and you can see it snapped under the weight. This particular product has a cloth facing that is easily damaged and difficult to clean.
The Tuxedo wall board however, held up just fine under the stress of the same 600 pounds. There is no other product on the market that combines this strength with a fire, mold and mildew resistant construction. The facing on the Tuxedo wall panel comes in three neutral colors, is easy to clean, and can be painted to match your decor.
The Basement Tuxedo wall panel system is a studless installation. It uses a channel mount system that is installed 1.5" from exterior walls to allow air circulation between the walls and panels to eliminate stagnant air and dramatically reduce the chances of mold and mildew from growing. When the installation is complete, the panels take up the same amount of floor space as a conventional 2x4" stud installation, except that you have an air circulation gap, which is better for indoor air quality, insulation, and sound deadening. If for any reason you need to access the exterior wall after installation, it is a quick and simple process to individually remove panels, make your change or repair, and re-mount the panels, and restore your living space to a beautiful finished basement.
Each wall panel is engineered with ports for service inclusion in the design (electrical), and plumbing and venting are easily incorporated into the design of the space. Your existing or new electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling outlets can be adapted to the wall panel system with minimal added construction needs.
If you are thinking of adding living space to your basement su ch as bedrooms, etc. some states require the installation of egress windows. The Basement Tuxedo Finishing System is engineered to easliy integrate egress window installation for a seamless fit and elegant look. You can add an extra bedroom, a theater room, playroom, family room, and the list goes on. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination.
The seamless wall panels can be painted to match the rest of your home decor. Even before you start decorating, The Basement Tuxedo finishing system produces an elegant appearance to your new space.
As part of the installation, you can create additional storage space under the stairs or in partitioned areas.
